In the 60’ies and 70’ies it was a meeting place for hippies travelling to or from Nepal.
I was here for the first time 40 years ago when I was backpacking in Turkey, and it turned out that one of the waiters had worked here for 44 years.
So I may actually have met this guy 40 years ago !!!! Amazing.
And a well deserved beer after surviving Istsnbul rush hour traffic 🍺
Was a housing development project with 732 identical houses looking like small Disney castles.
The project went bankrupt when tge houses was nearly finished, and is now just a very weird abandoned ghost town !!!
Is on Unesco’s world heritage list because the town is unique with all the Old Ottoman era houses. (I stayed in one of them for the night)
But a quick call to my Yamaha dealer solved the problem.
They shipped a new set of brake pads to Moto Camp Bulgaria where I will arrive in a few days time 👍
The Karavanserei’s was caravan hotels on the “Silk Road” trade route from the mediterranian sea to China,
This one in Sivas is 500 years old and is converted to a modern hotel.
