One day adventure …

I was curious to see how far I could go in one day, and get back home to sleep – and under the condition that I also allowed some time for sightseeing.

So I was up early and left home at dawn. (That is 0400 at this time of year in Denmark!)

Minimum planning …

The concept of my one day adventure was that I for once would not plan the route ahead, but make it up on the way.

So it was:

– Minimim planning

– Minimum GPS (Beeline GPS system and my iPhone)

– Minimum highway riding

And I was riding my smallest motorcycle to make it all more interesting (My new Kawasaki Versys-X 300)

The “Ellert” was a battery driven vehicle-ish thing from the 1980’ies, but never a commercial success.

Maybe someone (not me) could use it as a sidecar and create a hybrid motorcycle ?

🤔🥳😉

The old masts for the high voltage grid was designed by a famous Danish designer (Poul Henningsen), and a few of them are now laid out as art sculptures near the highway.

I have seen them many times when I passed them on the highway and wondered if I could get close to them.

And I guess the picture says it all 😉

Also called “Denmarks Birth Certificate” is one of our most important historical monuments.

I asked if I could park my motorcycle next to the rune stones and take a few pics – and much to my surprise, the church authorities accepted my request 👊
