After a number of years on adventure bikes, I wanted to get back to 17″ wheels. I have been looking for a comfortable bike with touring capacity, and still light/sporty enough to be reasonably fun in the mountains and on back roads.

So the ideal “next bike was some kind of cross-over with semi long suspension, fairing and luggage capacity.

It took a lot of reading, looking and head-scratching before I nailed it down to two options: The Honda NT1100 and the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX.

The first one was a bit more comfortable, and the second one a bit more on the sporty side, and the two bikes took turns being the favorite choice (I could not make a decision between them and it was not really important because I did not plan to buy a new bike this spring anyway)

But I got a killer deal on a Honda NT1100, 2023 model with manual gearbox, all the optional extras, and only 4300 km on the clock – and that tipped me over to the NT1100 🙂

I picked up my new bike in February when it is still winter in Denmark, so the bike went directly into my office to hibernate until Spring 🙂
