Getting ready to board the evening ferry to Gotland.
Hotel in Visby …
We arrived on Gotland shortly after midnight and found the way to our hotel in Visby old town.
The keys to our room was in a box with an access code, and we was told to park the bikes in the yard without starting them up as it would wake up the other guests.
Quite fun to wake up in the morning and see where we are staying and find out that the hotel have its own private church ruin 🙂
Grave stone with runes …
I knew that the rune letters was used for a few centuries after Christianity became the main religion in Scandinavia – but I have never seen a Christian gravestone with a rune letter inscription before. I have read about them, but never seen one in real life.

Café Tati on the Fårø island is really special, but the food is excellent 👍
Standing stones are called “Rauker”…
A Gotland speciality that is found mainly on the west coast of Gotland and Fårø.
