Test riding the KTM 1290R SuperDuke …
I’m seldom short of words, but I struggle to come up with superlatives strong enough to describe the beast.
Not because it’s fast and powerfull, because that’s obvious on a 180 hp bike, but because it’s so smooth for a big twin, and so very easy to ride very very fast on twisty back roads. Clever electronics makes it easy to tame the bike (that is: prevent it from constantly trying to kill you), and you just launch it, point and shoot, and have massive amounts of fun.
I reluctantly gave it back to the dealer: For me this bike is not compatible with long term drivers license ownership !!!
New sticker for the license plate …
I’m probably not completely unbiased here, but I’ll claim that the BoosterPlug outperforms 90% of all Power Commander installations !!!
The Power Commander is not a bad device, but with so many adjustment combinations, the Power Commanders is not easy to set up correct – and most of them never are !!!

First ride of the season …
Beautiful March sunday – sunny and 10 degrees Celsius.
Did 200 kms on backroads on 8 different islands.
It was a bit chilly, but great to be back on the road 🙂

Cagiva Raptor sold …
I’ll most likely regret this, but I am out of garage space and I don’t have time to ride 3 bikes, so the Cagiva wass handed over to a happy new owner today.

Necessary to adjust the valve clearance on the KTM.

End of season 🙁
Not much to do on the BMW this winter. Valve check, air filter, spark plug’s and belt drive exchange is done in a few hours, so spring seems far away.
