The mine is no longer in operation, and it is clear that the economy is not fantastic here now.

There are not many bronce statues of Josef Stalin left, but I knew there was one in a junk yard somewhere near Gori – But I had no information of the exact location.

So I had to ask different people I met, and I managed to trace it to a small village north of Gori.

And the guard accepted to let me in so I could take pictures of Stalin with the nose in the ground 👍😎

And wine tasting 👍

Special parking monitored by stall holder, dry storage for helmet and gloves, a taste of local pomegrane wine.
