Georgia and Armenia trip – planning phase …
A long motorcycle trip from Denmark to Georgia and Armenia have been on my wish list for many years, but a 15.000 km journey through 14 countries can not be planned overnight.
So already last year, the dates for the trip (6 weeks) was blocked in the family calendar, and 6 month ago I started the detailed planning.
I want to see something interesting every day of the trip and not rely (entirely) on luck, so I have spend many hours this winter making the route pass all the places I want to see in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, and Europe.
So the route is planned, but can/will be changed on the way when I discover new exciting places to visit.
But hey – you need to have a plan before you can change it 😉
This is most likely going to be the longest motorcycle trip I will ever do, and I’m happy and grateful to be able to go on an adventure like this one 🌍🏍️
The Yamaha Tenere 700 is serviced and have a fresh set of tyres installed. So I just need to load some luggage on the bike – then I’m ready to launch next monday 😎.
Insta 360 motorcycle installation …
The tiny camera is easy and fast to move from your helmet to the bike, and the control unit fits nicely on the handlebar.
Insta 360 Go 3 …
Is a stupid name for an action camera.
But it is a brilliant little thing that lets you place the tiny camera on the bike or your helmet, and the control box and screen where you can see and reach it 👍🏆
It is easy to start and end recording when riding your bike, and the software to edit the footage and transfer the finished clip to your phone is excellent.
Easily the best (and most expensive) action camera I have ever had 😎👍
Family ride …
Afternoon trip across 7 islands with my wife and daughter ☀️
Spring ride …
Nice warm weather today, but the water from the recent heavy rain showers takes several days to drain away.
New tires …
For the Honda NT1100
Pirelli Angel GTII is still my favorite road tyre 👍🏍️
GPS bracket …
It was not particular easy to make a proper bracket for the Garmin Zumo XT on the Honda NT1100, and it took some serious dismantling of the bike to connect the power supply to the bikes harness.
The Apple Carplay feature on the NT1100 is nice, but for me it is not a substitute for a real GPS system.
It was worth the hard work and I’m very pleased with the result.

New wheel bearings …
The old front wheel bearings was starting to rumble, so new bearings (front and rear) was installed today.
