Rear subframe

Look at the tube profile for the rear frame construction.
Extruded tubes with internal reinforcement – this is not cheap stuff.
The KTM is made of high quality material – even where (almost) no one will ever see it. No wonder they are expensive bikes.

Almost there …

When you’re working with the wiring loom, you need to take your time so everything is done properly.
No one wants electrical gremlins popping up on the road.

Rizoma flashers

I looked at a lot of different LED flashers before I found these beauties from Rizoma.
Much smaller than the OEM ones, and I think I made the right choice.

The nut that holds the front LED flashers is not easy to reach.
I just made this special tool that solves the problem nicely.

New mapping switch

By |2012-11-25T12:45:59+01:00November 25th, 2012|KTM Duke 690|

The original fuel injection mapping switch is located behind the engine, and is not easy to reach.

This means that you never really use the opportunity to switch to the map that fits the roads you’re riding.

Wiht the new aftermarket switch on the handlebar, switching maps gets really easy.

Only issue is that you have to turn the ignition off and on to load the new mapping, but I can live with that.
