Reinforcing the rear subframe …
The 2009 and 2010 version of the SMT have a weak spot where the lower strut ends and can break if the luggage rack it heavily loaded.
The subframe was reinforced from 2011 and up.
So I decided to do the reinforcements myself to avoid trouble on the road.
Bracket for additional instruments …
To accomodate the Scottoiler panel and the Gipro gear indicator.
It took some time to figure out, but I’m really happy with the result.

Had to make a small aluminium bracket.
Installing a Scottoiler …
I bought the new electrically operated version to avoid the changes in flowrate that is unavoidable on the vacuum operated version, due to changes in viscosity when the temperature changes.
Ignition switch cover …
From 2011, this cover included a 12V power outlet.
Very convenient to keep the battery charged or to charge your phone on a trip.
I found it on eBay and it fits my 2009 bike nicely 🙂
Easier than it looks …
But there’s a lot of wires behind the head light.
KTM LED flashers …
Easy to install. Comes as a kit with correct connectors and a new relay.

Preparing to install Crash Bar …
I had to modify it slightly to prevent it rubbing against the fuel tank – I suppose it was originally made for the 990 with the slightly smaller tank.
